Condolences
Aunt Eleanor, Missing our lengthy phone conversations — From one of the most southerly points in Canada to you in the west… How our weather conditions differed!! Will treasure two of your works that you insisted I keep in your memory. Your talent was always very much appreciated. They will be kept in the family forever. Comforting to know that peace is with you and Uncle Dean. XO
Deeply saddened by the loss of my great aunt. She was a wonderful artist and we had many Easter diners with her and Uncle Dean. All my best to the family and my God bless you all.
Our sympathy goes out to the family of Eleanor Olean. Although it was not mentioned in the obituary, Eleanor was a beautiful artist whose work was well-known, especially in western Canada. Eleanor was a friend of my late mother, Betty Armitage of Regina, a fellow artist. We have a cherished copy of Eleanor`s children`s book, a story our children enjoyed for years. Through her eyes, Eleanor captured the beauty of nature and her work reflected that love. Those fortunate enough to have her art in their homes will continue to enjoy it.
Such a wonderful, caring lady, whom we loved very much. Her memory lives on in her art (paintings) and children’s books she wrote and published. You sure will be missed, Aunt Eleanor.
Be happy joining Uncle Dean…….

I lost one of my best friends with the passing of dear Eleanor. I feel so fortunate to have been her neighbour and good friend for many years and even though it has been a few years since we were able to visit I value all the enjoyable years we did have.
Rest in Peace dear Eleanor and give Skip’s & my regards to Dean.
Until we meet again.
Sincerely,
Hazel Stewart
Sorry Chris for the loss of your Aunt. She was a neat lady and I will cherish the artwork and books she drew and gave me.
So sorry to hear about “Auntie” …. She was such a special lady. Have known her since her days in Keystown-Pense Saskatchewan at the farm….will so miss her voice of “Love” to everyone….she is now with Uncle Dean
So “Aunty” from “Deary” RIP
When I think of Nel; I think of her kindness, wit and positive spirit. Evidence of her art talent is viewed by us daily. Her Trixie storybook is enjoyed by a second generation of youngsters and I am sure will be for more to come. I can still see her smiling as she offered a cup of tea and a kind word on my last visit which seems not so long ago.
Our family will dearly miss Nel, but we are honored to share her roots and shall cherish our memories of her with great admiration and love.
Her passing may end her suffering but we can begin to remember her in so many ways and all that she stood for. She now joins so many of her family and friends that have left us before her. We commit our prayers to Nel and her family at this time. GOD bless you all.
