Obituary of Eleanor June OLTEAN

Eleanor Oltean (nee Lloyd) of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Hospice on Wednesday, February 24 2016 at the age of 91 years.
Eleanor was born in Calgary, Alberta and grew up in the Red Deer Lake District. She had a happy childhood and roamed far and wide across open fields. In 1947, after working in Calgary for several years, Eleanor moved to Vancouver. This is where she met her husband Dean. They married in 1948 and in 1950 began farming in Saskatchewan ending their journey near Pense, where they stayed until retirement in 1985. They then settled in Calgary and lived a wonderful life which included travel, club activities and enjoyable times with family and friends. Eleanor always loved life and made the most of it.
Eleanor is survived by her brother, Edric Lloyd; her nieces Jennifer Lloyd, Carolyn Huguenin (Anthony), Kim Jordan and many others. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Dean Oltean and her brother Francis Lloyd.
