Obituary of L. David Dave TYSON

October 16, 1945– Calgary, AB December 29, 2015 – Calgary, AB It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend after his fearless battle with cancer. Dave was a devoted and loving grandfather who cherished every opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren. Family and friends know him best for being the man who was always there for them when needed. L. David Tyson, a proud native Calgarian, was born on October 16, 1945, and raised in SW Calgary where he graduated from Viscount Bennett High School and husband of Joan to whom he was dearly devoted and married to for 47 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the age of 70 years. Dave loved being with his cherished four grandsons. He enjoyed family gatherings, attending all of the grandsons sporting events and golfing, and will be always remembered for his great and unusual sense of humour and love of life. He will also be lovingly remembered by his daughter Jennifer Tyson and his son and daughter in-law-law, Scott and Stacy Tyson; beloved grandchildren Meshaq, Cameron, Jakob and Trey; very cherished mother-in-law Terry Lowe, sisters-in-law Judy Louden (Ron) and Susan Renton (Ken) as well as nieces Debbie Morrison (Jeff), Kari Swindlehurst (John), Terra Renton Schindler (Mark) and Danielle Renton as well as cousins Pat (Kathy) Butler, Joanne Jenner and Barbara Shaw. Dave was predeceased by his parents John and Anne Tyson. Dave had the gift to connect with everyone he met. He worked hard and always gave his best effort to whatever he undertook. Friends admired his intelligence, warmth, generosity, and love of life and especially his willingness to help a friend. He was a great mentor. Throughout his working career as an executive in the chemical and oilfield environmental industry he made very special friends that became lifelong friends across Canada. As per Dave’s wishes a private gathering will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E.). Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
