Condolences
Grant was a great man and I am a better person having known him. I am deeply saddened by his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Dear Victoria I was sorry to hear of Grants passing. I have fond memories of Grant when he was friends with my brother Troy and Mark. H back when the were in High School. Although back then I knew him under a different name. His name back then he went by was actually “Ozone”. It makes me smile to think how Grant “Ozone”, Mark “Turbo” and my brother Troy “Shabba” we’re trying to make their mark as Breakdancers. I still member the cardboard with the hand drawn artwork that they would practice their breakdancing on. He was taken from this earth way too early but he will be in our memories forever. It brings a smile to my face when I think back to those days…..
Dear Victoria, Tyra and Trey,
My deepest sympathies on Grant’s passing. I had the great pleasure of working with Grant for 4 years at UBS. He was to me a man of character and principle, with a great work ethic and focus on family. I was fortunate to have met with him this spring after he returned to work. His enthusiasm was infectious. I thought he might need some encouragement but instead he encouraged me. That was just Grant. I now offer you my prayers & encouragement in this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Darryl Brin
My deepest sympathies on Grant’s passing. He was a great guy and I will miss him alot. I was very honoured to have met Grant back in our Bridge Brand days. He was a great man and friend. Rest in peace my dear friend.
Lino
Victoria and Family,
I had the pleasure of working with Grant for 14 plus years at Enron/UBS/JP Morgan. I had an immense amount of respect for Grant, both as a co-worker and as a human being. He had a great sense of humour and I swear I can hear his booming laughter as I write. He will be missed.
Kathy
Dear Victoria and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege to work with and learn so much from Grant at JPMorgan, where I could tell from the first minute that he was a natural born leader. When something important had to be done, Grant was the one to go to, responding to complex challenges with intelligence, thoughtfulness and strategic action. Everyone responded to his positive energy and great sense of humor and joy. He was a man of the highest principle and character. My sincerest sympathies to Victoria and the Family who meant the world to him.
Frank

Our condolences and prayers are with your family during this time.
Grant was a funny, enthusiastic and caring father, friend and buddy that showed his strength of character and love of life every time you spoke to him. He will be missed dearly by all the people he has touched and his legacy will be remembered until we meet him again.

Darin, Sherry, Emmy, Jaden and Chloe Wyatt
Dear Victoria, Tyra and Trey,
Our thoughts and prayers have been with you for some time now. The last time I was at mass and realized I was so close to you I fought tears the whole time. I found the courage to hold them back at the time to offer the sign of peace. Your family, and especially Grant, however, have defined courage. I would like to share the pride in knowing Grant, as he was a great Dad and a Great Guy that we will all miss.

Dear Vicky and family,
We were so sad to hear about Grant’s health this past year; and ultimately, his recent passing. It meant so much to Anne to return to Calgary to visit Grant a few weeks ago; and to spend some time catching up with you and your family. My deepest heart felt condolences to you and your family. Grant will be missed by all dearly.

My heart is sadden with your loss. I have fond memories watching your love story begin. Like when you and I took the bus to Midnapore in gr 7 hoping to find out 1. which stop Grant got off 2. where he lived. We found out both unexpectedly. Neither of us knew where we were going because we both lived in Canyon Meadows…completely different bus route.
Grant is forever with Angels and always in our hearts.
Sending thoughts & prayers.
Love Stacie & family
Kenora, Vicky, Tyra and Trey;
We are deeply saddened of Grant’s passing, and our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will always remember the special times we had together as we shared food and laughter. Of course the memories I have of our friendship from our younger years will be treasured. In many ways he helped shape the person I am today. I admired his strength and determination during his battle with cancer and was always hopeful he would win. Although he lost that battle, he was a winner in life. If you see his family and all the friends he has affected in so many positive ways, it was clear that Grant was a special person.
Sincerely,
Mark & Josie
Oh Victoria, I still remember when Bob and I first moved here to Douglasdale and you and Grant (known in the neighborhood as Mr Nike) were our next door neighbors. I loved how you two were like peas and carrots. Ok Ok.. I admit my girlfriends and I might have peeked through the blinds when Grant was out doing yard work or one of his DIY projects… You two were perfect together and I’m so happy you have two beautiful children together. Grant lives on in them. Big hugs to you, Tyra and Trey.

Dear Vicky, Tyra and Trey
I met Grant when I started at PwC with him in 1997. He made an impression immediately – he was confident, driven and charismatic – he always made you feel like a friend. Over the years we spent many weeks working on the CP audit and til this day I remember with a smile all the stories he told us and the jokes he would make. I hadn’t seen him for 15 years until this summer when Trent brought a group of us together to see Grant – he looked to be the same, cheerful, friendly, strong Grant that I knew. I will always remember him that way. I am very sorry for your loss. He was a real star.
Wishing you peace and comfort,
Candice
Victoria, Tyra and Trey,
We are thinking of and praying for you.
Grant was such a great guy, full of life and passion. I loved walking into the rink for a practice or game and hearing Grant call out “PREZ!” from a cross the room. It always signaled a time to share a few laughs and stories before each ice time.
We are grateful for getting to know Grant and experiencing his influence in our lives. he will be missed very much.
Chris, Karri, Jacob and Nathan.
Victoria, Tyra, and Trey,
My family was blessed to have been able to meet Grant. Even though we only knew him for a short time, we know that he was an amazing man and father. We will always remember him with a big smile on his face, full of laughter and a love for watching Trey and his team on the ice. It was an honour getting to know Grant and we know his spirit will live on in your family. God bless you, you are in our thoughts and prayers,
Nadia, Chris, Zacariah and Kailyn
Victoria & family,
We both met Grant when we worked with him at Bridge Brand in the early 90’s. Our paths would cross again over the years, as Cory worked with Grant again at Price Waterhouse a few years later. We remember him then as always smiling and friendly yet determined and focused. He was very well liked and it’s no surprise he found success and happiness in his life.
We both ended up raising our families in Lake Bonavista and over the past few years we would run into Grant in the schoolyard at St. Boniface, around the community or at the rink. The last time we saw Grant was this past August for a small PWC get together for him. He was still the same positive and good-hearted man despite his battle with cancer.
We are very sorry for your loss and hope you will take comfort in knowing he had such a positive impact on us and many others. We will remember Grant fondly.
Cory & Nicole Tamagi
Dear Victoria, Tyra and Trey,
Our hearts break for you all, please know we have been thinking of you and are so sad that has happened to a great family. I spoke to Grant in June at a hockey tournament and he was friendly and just such a nice guy. The hockey community is tight and they have always been supportive in times like this, I believe you will be surrounded with great people to help you get through this. Hugs to you all.

It is with my deepest sympathies and heavy heart that I offer you my condolences on Grant’s passing. Grant and I worked together for 8 years at Enron and UBS. I recall enjoying some lunch time workouts in our gym and some laughs after work. I was in charge of the trading operations and always knew that I could depend on a Grant to make sure things were done properly and efficiently. Although we have not been in touch since I left Calgary in 2009, it feels like yesterday when we were discussing some business operations. My prayers are with Grant, his family and all of his loved ones.
Dear Victoria, Tyra and Troy,
Our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Troy was a special man. “Whom the gods love, they take home early.”

Dear Victoria, Tyra and Trey
Our hearts go out to you for your loss of a wonderful Husband and Father….Grant. We have many fond memories of Grant and your family over the years whenever Melanie and Brad had get togethers in Douglas Dale starting when Tyra and Chantal were babies. Then in our yard in Okotoks when the Doell’s visited from Hawaii….our last visit being summer of 2014. Regretfully we had no idea what you were going through these past 15 months. Your memories of Grant and your children will get you through all this Vicky….please know our thoughts and prayers are with you….hugs…Wendy and Ron
Kenora and Family…
I was so heart broken when Tracey told me about Grant being sick. Not a day went by that I didn’t think of you all.
You and the family are in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this hard time, but now you have a special angle watching over you, and his name is Grant.
Victoria, Tyra, Trey and the Patterson Family,
We were deeply saddened to learn of Grant’s passing. Last we saw Grant in October at my sister and brother-in-law’s house, it was very clear he had the strength and courage of a warrior. What stands out most during that visit was his humor and infectious laughter even during his adversity. He is now free of pain, suffering and worry. May you feel Grant’s unconditional love wrapped tightly around you. Fly free Grant…may your children live by his legacy of determination, courage and zest for life. Sending thoughts and prayers to you all for healing.
When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. Blessings.
Dear Vicky, Tyra, Trey and the Patterson family,
Please accept my prayers and condolences at the loss of our beloved Grant. He will be dearly missed. I’m sorry I could not be with you all.

Victoria, Tyra and Trey,
My deepest condolences go out to all three of you. Grant was a special man who loved you all to the moon and back.

I was there the day you saw Grant for the first time and we followed him around South Centre Mall. Even though you won’t have the chance to grow old together, you accomplished so much that many couples never get the chance to. You grew up together, first kisses , first day of high school, getting your licence, going to the bar, graduating choosing a career and moving away from home. You were truly blessed to share so much together.
Dear Victoria, Trey and Kyra,
Your family is in my prayers. You shared a very precious time on earth with a wonderful husband and father.
Grant had such a wonderful smile. So sorry for your loss.
Dearest Victoria & family,
I am heartbroken for your loss. Knowing you in university, I remember the love and passion you shared for Grant. He made you beam with happiness. Cherish all the wonderful memories and adventures you had together. Know that he would only want the best for you and he would be so happy to see you smile once again. Focus on the happy moments and the beautiful life lessons. God bless you and comfort you and your family in this time of sorrow. My deepest sympathies. xo, Liz
Our condolences and prayers to Vicki, family and friends during this trying time. Grant–you did everything full speed and with great enthusiasm. We are glad our paths crossed and they will again some day. Neil, Sandra, Declan and Bryden
Victoria, Tyra and Trey.
The time you spent together as a family will forever be special and full of fond memories. You are in my prayers and I send hugs for you all. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Dear Victoria, Trey and Kyra
I am so very sorry to hear that Grant is gone.
You don’t know me, but my family and Grant’s were very close when we were kids. Grant was a few years older than me and I always looked up to him. In fact, my earliest memory was of Grant pulling me up out of the water. I was either three or four years old and I had fallen off an inflatable raft. I remember being under water, terrified and unable to get to the surface. Grant jumped in and pulled me out.
Grant always worked so hard and as a result, he excelled at everything he did. He was a great athlete, student, friend and even break-dancer! He was superman to me.
My deepest sympathies to you guys. I am so sorry for your loss.
Mike
Victoria, Tyra and Trey,

Victoria, Tyra and Trey,
You are in our thoughts and hearts. Grant was a wonderful man, full of life, light and energy. We will always treasure the many memories that we have of him and are thankful that we were able to have him be part of our families lives. He was a great coach – lots of patience – I will never forget soccer – I think the boys were 6 when one night Marek finally decided to run at a soccer game after eating orange pop and a hotdog and Grant told me to feed him that everyday if it made him move faster. Maybe I should still be following that sage advice….
He will forever be in our hearts.
Karen, Greg, Marek(Mrazek) and Toren
My Condolences,
So sorry for your loss Victoria, Tyra and Trey. Grant was one of a kind. So many good things I could say about him, but what made him irreplaceable to me was his laugh and smile, I would say something and he would start laughing and that irrepressible grin of his would appear. Then he would have me in stitches. I knew any time we spent together would be filled with humour and memories cherished. Honored to have been your friend, you were more like a brother and I loved you and will miss you. Until we meet again brother.
Mike Graham & Family
