Condolences
I’ve known Bill since 2009. His joie de vivre never ceased to amaze me. I couldn’t believe how independent he was for so long. He had a wry sense of humour. His stories were full of adventure and humour. He revealed last year that he did marine exercises. That’s incredible. I imagine he had more surprises that he hadn’t yet revealed. When he ended up in extended care, I kept expecting him to reappear for social engagements. I thought it was temporary. Condolences to Bill’s family and friends.
I knew Bill thru my sister Jeanne in London Ontario – he was his brother’s groomsman and I was a bridesmaid to my sister – Bill looked so handsome in his Uniform and I had a terrific crush on him, but he was a lot older than me so that was the end of that. I am sorry we lost touch but I reside in Queensland Australia now – we did keep in touch with his sister Margaret and her husband and my sister Jeanne kept me in touch with Bill’s interesting life. Rest In Peace Bill.
Bill was a great person. He will be truly missed.
Rest in peace.
My condolences to the family of Bill Inman. He attended St. Andrew’s United Church for many years, and also their seniors group, “Know Your Neighbour”. I got to know him very well and always enjoyed visiting with him at church or the seniors events.
St. Andrew’s United Church was sold in November 2013 and we began worshipping at Deer Park United Church off Bow Bottom trail, so he transferred to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church which was just down the street on Heritage Drive from St. Andrews’s United.
I have only good things to say about Bill. He was always cheerful, optimistic and helpful. He had strong opinions about many things and was admired for his wisdom. I will always recall the first day I met him in Hamilton: he tipped his hat and gave that great smile. Rest well, dear Bill.
