Obituary of William Allison INMAN
William Allison (Bill) Inman passed away in peace on November 18, 2015 at the age of 95 at the Chinook Care Centre.
He was born on May 30, 1920 in Milton, Ontario, to the late Roberta and Frederick Inman. Bill served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in WWII, graduated from University of Toronto in 1949, going on to an engineering and management career with Horton CBI. He raised his family in Montreal and New Jersey, moving to Calgary with Horton CBI in 1981. In retirement, Bill remained active in the community, starting a support group for unemployed professionals in the early 1980s, and volunteering with the Aerospace Museum of Calgary. He was a member of Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church.
Bill is survived by his son John Inman of Delmar, New York; daughter Jane Sleppy of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and sister-in-law Jeanne Kissack of London, Ontario. He is also survived by grandchildren Sean Sleppy and Erin Sleppy; as well as nephews Peter Inman, Bob Inman and John Buckberrough. He was predeceased by his brother Stewart Inman and sister Margaret Buckberrough.
A private memorial service will be held for family and friends at Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
