My mother and father, Jeanne and Tom Rodbourne were great friends of Joyce and Gordon. After Gordon and then my father passed away mom and Joyce spent a lot of time together and always seemed to be be smiling and laughing. Joyce would drive and mom would give directions! Later on both Jeanne and Joyce were residents of Trinity and both benefitted from the kind and helpful staff – it was a great place. My memories of Joyce have been echoed by some of the previous condolences. She was kind and generous and defined “gracious”. Women of her generation were something special. We shall not see their like again.
Love, regrets and deepest sympathy to Joyce’s family

I grew up at Stanley Drive from the age of .05 year”s old to the age of realizing a great family lived across the street. Your mother was the kindest lady of all and just great kind nothing but fantastic memories of a true honest loved lady.
How sad to read that your mother Joyce has past away as with our mother Lucille who past in April, sometimes these things are a blessing. Our mother and yours’ were such great friends over the years. Many a humorous story has been told about our mothers while they were in Nurses Training at the Calgary General. As well as the great friendship there was between your parents and ours. May the great memories of your mothers wonderful life bring you comfort and smiles as you remember a very special person.
Our sincere condolences on the passing of Joyce. It was our privilege to have met Joyce when she resided at Trinity and shared the dining room table with our mom, Doris Miller. We were always so impressed with Joyce’s kindness and gentle nature. She always looked immaculate and was ever so gracious. She will be missed. May the special memories of a life well lived bring you comfort in the days to come.
With warmest regards,
Lila Mydlarski and family
