Obituary of Laurence Laurie PILSON

October 23, 1947 – Calgary, Alberta September 4, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta Laurence Pilson, beloved husband of Val Pilson, passed away in Calgary on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at the age of 70 years. Laurie was employed with the federal government in several social services portfolios during his career, and was especially proud of his time helping with adult special needs work placements. He loved hockey and was a gifted player in his youth. He was also passionate about music. Besides his loving wife Val, Laurie is survived by brother and sister-in-law Duane and Lynda Pilson; niece Kim Pilson; nephew and his spouse Ty Pilson and Tara Schadek-Pilson; great-nephews Aidan and Ryder; and great-niece Abigail. He was predeceased by his parents Vernon Frederick Pilson and Mildred Ellen Pilson (nee Wyman). A Gathering will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY () on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, we ask you to donate to Right to Play to help less fortunate kids enjoy the wonder of sport .
