Obituary of Thomas Patrick GARVIN

1969 – Fort McMurray, Alberta 2015 – Calgary, Alberta Thom Garvin of Calgary passed away last week at the age of 45 years. He was born in Fort McMurray, Alberta on December 7, 1969. Thom had a lust for life well known to friends and family. He was a world traveler, adventure seeker, deal maker, animal lover and the ultimate host. Thom obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Calgary and was an MBA graduate student at Texas Tech University. He worked for almost two decades as a stockbroker and investment advisor in Calgary, and advised on a variety of start-ups and other ventures. Thom and his wicked sense of humour and bold approach to life will be missed by his family and his friends from many walks of life. Thom is survived by his parents Susan Murphy and Frank Garvin; brothers Chris Garvin and Tim Garvin; sister-in-law Samantha Garvin; niece Hadley Elizabeth Garvin; and many many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W.
