Condolences
Evelyn, we are so sorry we missed the memorial service for Matthew.
Our sincere condolences on his passing. We know he was a lucky man to have you with him for so long. A fine man who was so friendly and pleasant to talk to, we will all miss him.
Take care of yourself.
Matt and my mom, Evelyn, were a lovely match of kindred spirits, a pleasure to spend time with. I could always look forward to Matts good natured wit, and I am grateful for the many years they enjoyed together. My sincere condolences to Mom, and to all Matts family, who must miss him greatly.
Joan,
I was so sorry to hear about your dad. I cannot begin to imagine your sorrow, but hopefully your great memories are bringing you comfort at this time.
Linda
Joan and family…I am so very sorry to learn of your father’s passing. I see the same twinkle in his eye as you have Joan xoxo Our condolences to you all. Take care Anna and Marco Pires
Thank you Uncle Matt for helping Mom and me a long time ago I will never forget you .
I am very sad at the loss of a great man. He gave me a very beautiful daughter that I am very proud to call my wife. You are my inspiration to keep me going with all of the many sports that I play and will hopefully continue to play into my later years as well like you did. I am going to be wearing the Senior Men’s Slo Pitch League ball cap in your memory for as long as I can play. You are very loved and missed by many family and friends.
Evelyn and family

Grandpa,
I am going to miss you. You were a great man. Always had a smile on your face. Going to be hard stepping on the ball field this summer as you always made it out to some of my games. Even in the end you were always asking me about when ball was coming and you couldn’t wait to watch.
I love you,
Rest in Peace Grandpa.
Love,
Melissa.
To each and every one of Uncle Matt’s family, we are thinking of you all. Uncle Matt was my Grandmother’s Brother and last family member to bid this earth a farewell. I remember as a little girl hearing her and my dad talk of Uncle Matt, he was looked to with great pride. When my grandmother passed away, it was a sad time but also a happy one, cause Uncle Matt came home. I remember everyone was so excited to see him, he stayed with us, I remember him so well from that visit, he was fun, always had time for us little ones. Actually the only baby doll I ever owned was one that he bought me before leaving to go home after the funeral was over. Years after, he and Evelyn were here in NL and camping near by, I was very excited when my dad said he was here again, they came to visit my dad and mom, but a few days later, I took my two children to visit at the park, they are grown now but still remember the fun they had pretending to drive the motor home with Uncle Matt. I know that this is a very sad time for all the family and friends who knew him much more than I did, but take comfort in knowing how very much he was loved and remember him with great pride. He was also my dad’s godfather, and I know they are both looking down on us and watching over all their family and friends. Two great men are now together and free of all the pain, they are now at peace and together forever. On behalf of myself, my husband Ray, Seekay and Amy. My mom, brother and sister their families, Uncle Matt’s niece Anne Marie LePage, nephew Percy LePage and many relatives here in Newfoundland, I send our deepest sympathy and prayers to the Collier families and friends of this great man. To Evelyn, we love you and are all thinking of you in this difficult time. You’re a great lady and we love you. Wish we could be with you all through this sad time. Love from Newfoundland.
Sorry cannot be there to participate in the “celebration of life” ceremony. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Heaven gained another angel!
I would love to wish my family a heart filled condolence as I was told about this man he had a good heart and for him he helped my grandmom out so much that gave her a chance to have my mom and her brothers and sister. I wish I could of meet him to get to know him we meet up with the family a few years ago and they are so much my family I love them all. sorry for your loss and god bless you all xo
