I am deeply saddened with the passing of Jim. I remember what a great friend he was upon meeting him at Bishop Grandin. His sense of humour was second to none. We enjoyed many laughs together and some crazy times. He will be missed.

Jim’s Grandmother Hazel was my step-mother for her last 15 years and Betsy was the treasured step-sister I never had. Distance prevented us from spending a lot of time together but I did get to know that Jim was a wonderful person and part of a caring and delightful family. God bless you and keep you.

Dear Wendy,

Lea and I were saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. Bobbi Jensen informed us a few days ago. We only met you and Jim a couple of times but Stobies are great people and I knew Clara, Gordon and Betsy very well. It’s always hard when we lose a partner especially one so young but fate intervenes with our hopes and plans. It sounds like you both had many wonderful times together and you’ll always have those special memories. Believe me when I say he’ll always be there for you in your heart. I still think of Astrid every day. I’m sure Jim is already with his mom and dad and he’ll be taken care of.
