Obituary of James Jim Edward STOBIE
June 25, 1962 – February 28, 2015
Jim Stobie, beloved husband of Wendy and brother of Vicki (Craig) Fluker passed away peacefully at home at the age of 52 years after lengthy illnesses. Jim was born and raised in Calgary and graduated from Bishop Grandin High School, then studied Business at Mount Royal University. He dedicated over 26 years with Precision Hyundai where he fulfilled his career as New Car Sales Manager. From there he ventured on to enjoy a variety of duties working at Canada Post. Jim was a sports enthusiast and avid fan of hockey, both as spectator and participant. He had a passion for music and entertained many at karaoke. His sarcasm, wit, and humour touched those around him. He and Wendy travelled extensively, including cruises, and often with Monty (dog) on numerous road trips. Jim is predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Betsy. He will always be lovingly remembered by nieces and nephews including Janessa, Josh and Marissa Fluker. Through marriage he gained 16 additional nieces and nephews that he cherished. Many thanks go out to those who showed continuous support throughout the difficult times.
