Obituary of James Edward CRANE

September 1, 1940 – Medicine Hat, Alberta August 13, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta James (Jim) Edward Crane of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at the age of 77 years. Jim was an elementary school teacher for thirty-three years and was accredited by the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto as a piano teacher. His hobbies included several bands and choirs, curling, golf, bridge, travel, as well as spending time with family and friends. He was a professional musician, a hole-in-one golfer and a curling eight ender. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law Heather and Warren Belanger, and Jody and JP Thibault; son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Kristine Crane; grandchildren, Daniel (Janet), Andrew, Matthew, Lissi (Omar), Brandon, Jensen, Tyler, Nicholas and Joel; his sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Mike Roydell; several nieces and nephews, as well as his friend Stan Ray. He was predeceased by his loving wife Norma Crane, his parents, Daisy and Harold Crane, and his grandchild Lauren Belanger. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY () on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
