Condolences
My deepest condolences to everyone in the family (Thank you Mike for calling me directly and letting me know). I worked with Jim at Raytheon, and immediately he and I were kindred spirits,both with a deep love for the old Genesis led by Peter Gabriel.We enjoyed meeting regularly for coffee, even if it meant Jim missing a Habs game. We talked, told stories of our adventures and advised on situations of frustration. Jim never turned down an opportunity to help me (moving and the like)with his only request to repay him in home baked cookies!
-To my brother in spirit, my fellow “slipperman”, I will miss you deeply, Jim.

My condolences to the entire family. I remember Jim as a “ray of sunshine” on any day. It is so hard to believe he is gone. My sincerest sympathy to everyone as this is a huge loss to the family. I know Jim will be remembered with the fondest of memories by his nieces and nephews especially. My thoughts are with you all.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Lafleur family. It was an honor to serve with Jim in Cold Lake, and briefly worked with him in Calgary after retirement from the Air Force. He always had a smile on his face, and was one of the friendliest people I’ve ever had the privilege to know.

He was not just a co-worker but a friend, and we had many wonderful times touring around Germany together. He was always happy and up for a laugh. He will be greatly missed.

I would like to express condolences to the LaFleurs from the White family. We knew Jim and his family while living in Shilo, MB. Jim was a very nice fellow and came from a fine family. Years later, I was surprised to re-connect with Jim in the Air Force in Cold Lake, AB. He was an excellent technician and was always smiling. No matter the weather, Jim brought his own sunshine everywhere he went. Rest in peace old friend.

So sorry to hear this news, way too young. He was always fun to work with and we always had a few laughs even when the work wasn’t going our way. I particularly remember the fun we had after a few night shifts at 441, we would bring the guitars out in the canteen and spend a couple of hours rewriting the classics. Good times. My condolences to his family.

I would like to pass on my deepest sympathy to the Lafleur family. It is always difficult to lose a sibling, especially one so young but eventually you get through the tough days and learn to appreciate all the special moments you shared. I always enjoyed working with Jim on those long shifts in 410 squadron. He always seemed to be happy and had a way of brightening the days of the people he worked with. RIP Jim.
