Condolences
It was with a sense of loss that I learned that my friend and work colleague of many years had died. I worked with Jess for 23 years and was continuously impressed by his dedication to craftsmanship. His wood work was always of a high quality as was his relations with all of those with whom he worked. When I would find my office troublesome, I would wander down to the carpentry shop, talk to Jess and watch the work being done. It was my form of valium on stressful day. I will miss Jess as will many, many other Calgarians. I offer my prayers to the family and my regrets.
Aunt Viv, Jody, Jamie and families.
We may have drifted apart over the years but I was saddened to hear of Uncle Jess’ passing. I have such fond memories of Christmas’s at your home. A Christmas dinner table that stretched the length of the basement and watching the fire scene for what seemed like hours! Uncle Jess inspired me to get into woodwork as a hobby and I love it to this day. I can only hope to become half the craftsman that he was.
Love to you all and I hope we can connect sometime soon.
Monroe
