Condolences
So sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. My deepest condolences to the Hale family. I did have the pleasure of playing on a couple of the Bronco and Dresser Atlas teams with Dave. He was one of the core guys of the group. He made the rest of us better as players, and helped to bring the group together as teammates. A few of us spent many days with Dave in the basement “gym” at the Hale house and managed to share quite a few good times with friends at various get togethers at night. Dave was an easy guy to like, always happy and friendly, he was a good friend to many, definitely was to me. He will be missed.
May he rest in peace,

First of all I just want to send my deepest condolences to the family of Dave. I lived in Westgate, way back when, and went to school with Dave from St. Mikes through to Bishop Carroll High. I wasn’t best friends with Dave, or anything like that, more or less acquaintances, but I remember him being very likeable, funny with a great laugh, super athletic (especially for his time), and very good looking. Dave was the guy every other guy was trying to emulate. When my wife pointed out his obituary noticing he had gone to St. Mikes and asked me if I knew him, she commented that he looked like a movie star. Need I say anything more.
The last time I saw Dave was in a bar, I believe the Westgate, a couple of years after high school. I remember him saying something about how having a couple of beers will help him with his workout the next day. Back then I really wasn’t into working out, but I think he’d be proud of me now as I have been totally addicted to being active the last four decades. I hadn’t had the good chance of running into him since, but it was good to hear he ran his own successful business for years.
It is so sad that Dave was taken way before his time. I believe he is the first of my schoolmates from St. Mikes, that I know of, to pass away. Gone way too soon my friend. May you Rest In Peace always.
With Deepest Sympathies,
Philip Rosso
