Condolences
I am sorry that i did not know about his passing last year. I hope that his close and extended family and friends have found peace and comfort, knowing that Steve is happy and making all those around him smile and laugh and feel safe and loved. Steve was a very dear friend of mine during the late 80s and early 90s. He was a great man with an even greater heart. Cant imagine that he would have done well during the Pandemic with lockdowns and social distancing that we need to follow...he did enjoy being around people and i remember that he was the social butterfly of the group. I didn't know his nickname was "Mouse. - that's absolutely adorable. Bye Steve. It will be nice to catch up. Luv Brenda
My deepest sympathy to Steve's family. I knew Steve from junior high. He was a truly unique and caring young man when I knew him. Our paths did not pass again after junior high but I know for sure from what I have read, that he touched a great many people from friends, colleagues and his dear family. I have nothing but fun filled memories of those days so long ago with mouse, Stacey and the gang! My deepest condolences to Steve's family and friends.
I share in the family's deep love and sorrow right now. I always loved Steven when I was a child. He was so handsome, funny, charming, talented. I loved and adored my 2nd cousins. I cannot believe how the decades have flown by.
My deepest condolences, love and prayers. I love you Auntie Pat. I love you all.

I first met Mouse my first day of of elementary school. We were not only classmates growing up but also teammates. A lot of my fondest memories from my childhood years stem from the countless Lacrosse and Hockey trips we took together. Even though Mouse and I were the same age I looked up to him. There was just something about him that was unique.
My deepest condolences go out to your family.
Rest in Peace my friend
Mouse and I were inseparable when we were kids. He was my very best friend and I idolize him. A very skilled lacrosse and hockey player. I remember when “The Boys” of Willowpark headed east to play lacrosse and we all gathered at the community centre to see them off. Mouse so proud in his white cowboy hat. Mouse always stuck up for me, he would be the first one to tell the other boys- “she can play hockey with us- she’ s as good as we are”. I recently tried to reconnect with Steve, I now sit here wishing I had tried harder. Go in Peace my dear Friend. Lyn Archdekin(Gregory)
To the family and especially Pat and Anna, who I knew from Christian Life Assembly, my deepest condolences on the sudden loss of your dear Steve. I hope he's showing the Lord some of those wrestling moves.
My fondest memories of Steve was his enthusiasm about wrestling but moreso about those awesome wrestling boots he'd wear to church. I told him I wanted a pair. He said he had many, if I recall correctly.
I think he said he'd get me a pair. I will collect one day when we meet again!
When I heard the news I was shocked. Though I haven't spoken with Steve (Mouse, as I knew him) in several years, I often talked about the antics we would get into. Beginning when we first met in Mr. Engles music class in grade 7 at RT Alderman Jr Highschool (in 1975) - neither of us wanted to be there. At Christmas (in 1975) we were learning Christmas carols in music class, in particular, Joy to the World, instead of singing the regular lyrics, we broke into a rendition of Three Dog Nights - Jeremiah was a Bull Frog, it didn't go over well – I believe we were kicked out of class. When we were sixteen we took a road trip in my first car to Pentiction, joining us was Cathy, Steve's sister - who we dropped off in Kelowna, when we arrived in Pentiction we had no breaks - slowed to a crawl at our destination near Skaha lake, then opened the door and used our feet to stop the car, we repaired the breaks before driving home. Mouse was always at my home, it was his second home, was always part of my family where he participated in several family events, my mom still asks about him. Sorry for your loss.
Mouse...RIP my friend.

To Anna and family, We are so sorry to hear the news of our beloved Steve "Mouse" . It is quite shocking to the old gang as well as for you and the family but we want you to know what a wonderful guy Steve was to our gang. Every one loved him including all the parents in the neighborhood. He was always at our house on the trampoline and I will never forget when he was stung by a bee on the lip and to this day-never seen a lip that swollen in my life. As he was jumping on the trampoline, with the HUGE lip-(BTW I still have pictures of the lip) he did not even wince and just kept going. He was always tough as a kid but he had to be with the big grough dudes in our neighborhood-he was the smallest-hence the nickname "mouse". The news is spreading fast and we are all thinking of you and the family at this time and hopefully you will know that he was much loved.
Our thoughts are with you.
Deb Walker and the entire Willow Park gang.
