Condolences
Dear Allan,
I was so pleased to see you at the Canmore Nordic Center, yet sad to hear that Barb has passed. My condolences. It's been a tough year since she left, with COVID locking you in. What a pleasure to escape to Canmore. And great you can have your vaccination this week. Hope to see you on the track again soon. It's so fantastic that you are still going strong. Warm regards, Liam Christie
We will miss her warm, kind and genuine smile. Barb was a constant support to us when we were at Sorrento Centre. We could always count on her to be supportive and helpful.
Barb was a beautiful person and I have so many wonderful memories of her. She and Al were the first people I met at Sorrento almost 50 years ago and they took me under their wing. I feel so blessed to have had Barb as such a good friend. She will be truly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Al and the Millar family at this difficult time.
Barbara was a dear friend and loyal guest at the Sorrento Centre for many years. Her smile, her pleasant manner, her kindness were all gifts beyond measure. On behalf of the staff, the Board of Directors, all of our Associates and the literally thousands of guests who have been touched directly and indirectly by Barbara over the years, thank you for a life well lived! Our condolences to Allan and the rest of the family. May you be warmed by the deep memories of Barbara even as you grieve the loss of her. The passing of someone so special as Barbara is always a time of sadness for all of us, but we will also hold up in our thoughts and prayers her life and the wonderful warmth that she brought to our beloved Centre. Rest eternal grant unto her... and may Iight perpetual shine upon her. - Rev’d Michael Shapcott, Executive Director, Sorrento Centre
