Obituary of James William MORGAN

December 11, 1949 – Edmonton, Alberta
January 29, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Jim Morgan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the age of 70 years.

Born and raised in Edmonton, AB with his eight siblings, Jim moved to Calgary in 1981.  Respected by his peers for his work ethic and street wisdom, Jim was always the social nucleus wherever he worked.  Many will recall mornings started at Jim’s desk watching beautiful sunrises, enjoying his quick wit and genuine heart. Lifelong friends have memories of Jim’s trademark cowboy hat and boots, his love of old school country music, discussing sports strategies, and his strong will to survive was inspirational.

Jim is survived by his wife Joanne (nee Vollmar) of thirty-five years, his daughter Gwynne (Carson) and his son Jamie.
