Condolences
I worked with Penny in ITC during my time at BVC, and found her to be an intelligent, strong, caring, and no nonsense woman. She told it like it was and was always there for you, professionally and personally. My sympathies to her family, whom she spoke proudly about often. She made her mark on anyone who met her, and will be remembered.
I knew Penny from the time she started at Bow Valley College. Penny was personable and always ready to give a hand and support when called on with respect to technical issues. I am deeply saddened by her passing and will miss her steadfast character. Hugs to her family and friends. She will be missed.
I worked with Penny at Bow Valley College and have just heard of her untimely death. I’m so sorry. Penny was smart, helpful and funny. I’m sure you will miss her very much. You are in my thoughts at this sad time.
Our paths crossed a lot when I was still working at BVC. We talked a lot about projects and techy stuff. She was so knowledgeable. I recall her telling me she was a sort of marathon walker. She had to do a lot of walking in order to make it to and from work once she got in town from living in the outskirt of town. That is what kept her in such good shape. You will be missed Penny. R.I.P.
I was blessed to have the opportunity to work with Penny for 4 years at Bow Valley College, and grew to know her as we worked together.
There were always great conversations with Penny; she would help you work through the issues and challenge you to see things from different perspectives.
Penny was a great person and she will be missed and remembered fondly by all.
My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family.
Penny has been part of our family since she was 15 yrs old we all called her one cent not because of her worth as that can't be messured Penny did things her way and on her terms right to the end she handled this situation head on with no regrets she will leave a huge gap in our hearts rest easy sweet lady till we meet again
To Don and Family,
I worked with Penny for 3 and a half years at Bow Valley College. I truly wish it was longer. Her voice and smiling face will always be remembered...and the 'family work time' we had at James Joyce.
Gone but not forgotten - look into the eyes of her children and you will see her there.
My deepest sympathy,
Jodie Moser
Although I have never met Penny's family I had the privilege of working with her for about 7 years.
Penny was tenacious and smart on so many levels. I loved her ability to cut through nonsense; and she could be playful in her dry wit. I will miss her.
Penny definitely had a great influence on those she worked with at BVC.
I hope there is some comfort in knowing that a great deal of people will miss her and her contributions are still being felt.
Deepest Condolences to your family.

As we all remember Penny in our own way and say our goodbyes in our own way, we must also remember the life that she lived.
Penny, as we remember was always somewhat of a "free spirit". She will needless be remembered for many things and in many loving ways but that is the memory that we have.
That wonderful spirit is now forever free and those of us who choose to remember that part of Penny will be consoled by the thought that she is on that journey.
You are free Penny! Go in Peace!
We are so saddened to hear about our friend and co-worker. It was a pleasure to know and work with her.
So many great memories and laughs.
Our heartfelt condolences to Don and all the family. May you find some comfort in knowing that many people are thinking of you.
Sincerely, Donna Sabo and Jack Sutherland.
My most heartfelt condolences to DON, REALITY & SARAH and your families. Penny was a wonderful friend whom I spent much time enjoying wine, conversation and “gripe” sessions with. I am sorry that I lost touch with her after her move out west, but do know that I thought of her often, and missed her friendship.
To the Bissonnette Family...here is what Bow valley College will miss about Penny and some of what was said this week. Our thoughts are with you all.
"Given Penny’s impressive tenure with the College (15 plus years) she has made many friends, fantastic working relationships and her work ethic and quality was never to be doubted.
With her dry wit and unwavering charm she was always our “go to” for anything be-it legacy knowledge, a general sounding board or a to share a laugh.
She has touched so many lives at the College. Because, she was kind, generous, supportive and smart making her one of the key contributors to bring ITS to where it is today. I think that’s putting it mildly.
I know we are all just devastated so please take care of each other during this difficult time, as she will be so missed."
Best wishes during this difficult time, Puja Rai.
