Condolences
Both my husband, Al and I (Clydine Grenier) had the pleasure of meeting Butch and Cec when they moved to Arrowwood. I cared for their papillons, cats, Flower and Blossom, and their Italian Greyhound. It was always exciting as these little cuties grabbed my heart as most animals do and I was blessed to be entrusted to look after them while Cec and Butch travelled around the world. There were many short stays by numerous Paps, females of course to visit their home to be bred to an amazing dog from Australia. I ended up assisting in a few of these romantic interludes. There was always many laughs when we were with Cec and Butch and their constant banter was always hilarious. Cec didn’t like to cook and Butch always called her “the Princess” and that was exactly how he treated her, until he became too fragile to do much of anything. They were true soul mates and we missed them terribly after they moved. Quite often we would gather up what ever Al was going to make for supper head over to their home and cook it there as it was difficult for Butch to get around. I followed in Cec’s footsteps of the not cooking as hubby is better and safer!! I had briefly met both of them years ago as I was a member of the Evelyn Kenny Kennel and Obedience Club and showed my Springer Spaniel, Sam, for a short time when we moved to Alberta. I loved teasing Butch and he nicknamed me his little aspirin. Will miss you my dear friend, but you are at peace with Butch once again, probably eating something sweet knowing both of you. Our heartfelt condolences to Andrea, Lorelei, and their spouses, their Grandchildren and each and every dog person who knew them, they both loved you all. Cec I will miss our banter especially, we always found something to set us off. You touched so many lives and were beyond kind and generous to help young people starting out in the Dog World. Cec you will be greeted by so many of your forever loved four legged friends who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge before you joined them. You will be loved by them all. The world was a better place with you here and you will be missed but never forgotten.
Love Al and Clydine Grenier
We have some great memories! We will miss you terribly Cec! I know you are back with your love Butch. Thoughts are with the family xx
My heart is broken. I miss Cec so much. I will miss our talks and adventures. Life will just not be the same without you. Rest well Cec. We love you so much.
Neil and Wendy Graves send their deepest condolences to Cec's family. We were very thankful that Cec was able to come to Playas Ecuador and spend time with us. Those are some of the memories we will never forget. RIP our dear friend you will be very missed.
My condolences to Cec's family and friends. As a member of the dog show community, I first met Cec sometime back in 1984/85; she and Butch were familiar faces to me over the intervening years, whether as ringside friends, competitors and eventually judges. I know she has missed Butch these past few years, and I will be there to celebrate her life on Saturday. R.I.P. Cec.
