Obituary of Carsten GOA

January 17, 1928 – Stavanger, Norway
February 23, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Carsten Goa of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the age of 92 years.

Growing up on a farm in Saskatchewan, Carsten was always active in many different sports. He had a long career with the Bank of Nova Scotia in towns and cities throughout the western provinces, and enjoyed golfing with his friends since he retired. Carsten’s kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew him. 

Carsten and his wife Dorothy recently celebrated their sixty-eighth year of a wonderful marriage. Carsten is also lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Mark; granddaughter Jillian (Jordan); and great-grandson Thomas, born January 12, 2020. Carsten is survived by his brother Elmer; sister Karen (Dai); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Einar and Arnie, and sister Marie.
