Condolences
Dear Elaine & Family,
I have many fond memories of Gerry. From way back in the days when you were first dating. I was always impressed that he would let your little sister (me) hang around and even tag along to the beach. Although you moved around alot, I have always felt a special bond with both you and Gerry.
I really enjoyed having both of you move into my home last year. Gerry always had a smile ready for everyone. I teased him relentlessly, but I could tell, he really enjoyed it. He took every opportunity to reciprocate, so there was much laughter in our home.
I really miss him, but I know he is exactly where he would want to be. His earthly body gave him much pain, but now he will be whole again in heaven.
I will always be here for you.
Love, Marilyn
I have so many fun memories of cousin Gerry. He wore a smile and always was ready to give a bear hug to anyone who wanted one. I remember one time travelling with him and Elaine from their home to our farm after having spent a wonderful week with them in Manitoba. The car had hit a black bird and as a tender young soul I was whimpering away in the back seat. Gerry stopped the car and asked what was wrong. When I told him I was sad for the bird and Gerry offered to go back a few miles to see if it was okay or needed help. (Of course I said no!)
That's just the kind of guy he was. Others mattered more than time or money. My heart grieves for Elaine and the kids and I want them to know that I loved Gerry and will miss his presence here on earth, but look forward to our reunion in Heaven.
Love Kathy Priebe
