Condolences
Phyllis was and is my “Other Mother”. Phyllis, Uncle Arthur and the whole Hazle family are truly a blessing to me. Phyllis took me in under her wing as did Uncle Arthur and treated me as one of their own when I was just a young girl. Brenda and I were inseparable and when my parents decided to divorce when I was 11 years the Hazle’s were there for me. Phyllis never questioned why I was there she only welcomed me, fed me, loved me, and guided me. Brenda and I and Phyllis had countless fun Friday nights, playing Yahtzee, watching TV, which ended with a sleepover in the infamous back room on the sofa bed. Everyday after school Brenda and I had a date with Phyllis watching our soap opera and then Oprah.
Over the past few years’ things had gotten more difficult but the kind caring nature was still there even during the hard days. The joy on her face when a visitor popped in or when she was talk to me about her kids, she just cherished them all and was so proud. Phyllis was a very quiet, private, self-less, kind and generous lady. She is one in a Million.
I will forever hold her in my heart, and she will forever be my Fizzle. Love and miss you so much but I defiantly cherish all my memories and the last few years we had together as you transitioned into care. I really looked forward to "Thursday Rachelle day" and our visit. I am going to miss those visits Fizz.
I Love you dearly Phyllis.
Love Rachelle
