Condolences
Ruth, Hugh and Fiona please accept our condolences. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Growing up across the street from the Motley’s on Westglen Cr. I have very fond memories of the family and in particular John. He always struck me as learned and ahead of his time. When our mother passed John was most supportive of my father, for this I will always be grateful. Rest In Peace John.

Ruth and family. I am sorry for your loss and have nothing but good memories of John. When growing up on Westglen Crescent, John always had time for my endless curiosity and questions regarding plants and his amazing garden. His support helped to feed a life long passion and career. I am grateful for his patience and knowledge. I did not know it but John was way ahead of his time and introduced me to ideas of native planting and sustainable planting practice. Now common threads in modern garden, park and city design. I hope he is doing what he loved so much and puttering in a big garden somewhere.

My sympathy to you Ruth and your family. I served with John on the Condo. Board a few years ago and can remember his helpful contributions regarding the property. Thinking of you all.
