Obituary of John MOTLEY

June 26, 1924 – Birkenhead, England
March 18, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Our family patriarch, John Motley, beloved husband of Ruth Motley (nee Kenrick) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the age of 95 years.

John served in The Royal Navy during WWII. He and Ruth immigrated to Canada in 1954, to the wilds of Vancouver Island, BC. In 1955, John moved to Calgary, making it his home. After thirty years with Peace Pipe Line, John retired in 1985. John was a world traveller, model railroader, Tai Chi enthusiast, and music lover.

John will be greatly missed by his wife of seventy years, Ruth; daughter, Fiona (Roger) and their children, Maggie, Elizabeth and Michael; son Hugh (Cindy) and their children, David (Melissa), Mary and William; and three great-grandchildren, Noah, Ethan and Deanna.
