Condolences
My condolences to you Edna, family and friends.
I will always remember Jack and yourself as the dedicated and dependable Liberal team couple of Calgary West riding with whom I had the privilege to be associated with. I appreciated Jack's wisdom and opinion regarding politics which he expressed in a calm and gentlemanly manner. He was always on standby to provide advice and assistance. He will be missed by many.
My thoughts are with you, Edna.
Sincerely,
John Kunz

It's socializing and working with people like Jack and Edna that make politics and life in general, so very much worthwhile. Jack brought great amounts of mental energy and empathy to any gathering. He will be missed.

Dear Colleen. Ed and I are so very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. Although I never met him in person, I certainly recall the many stories you shared. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Our deepest condolences to the Edna and the Kenny family.
Jack and Edna were the most hip, enthusiastic, joyful, kind and loving couple. We shared politics as a common interest and campaigns working ourselves to the bone and doing our public service...continued to keep up on the political scene. We also shared the love of the Shuswap area for recreation and love of the beach. Over the years we would always send them a Christmas card to keep in touch....we will miss you Jack!
God bless you Edna and family during this difficult time of sorrow.
Hugs

The world has lost a very kind man. So sorry for your loss.
I am saddened to learn of Jack's passing. My sincere condolences go out to his family. My memories and association with him go back to when I was a youngster living in Mayerthorpe and he was the NCO i/c of the Mayerthorpe RCMP Detachment. I am posting a couple of photos of him during this time. I later joined the RCMP and during my tenure had occasion to cross paths and meet up with Jack on a number of occasions and I was not surprised when he often talked about mutual folks we both knew from Mayerthorpe. He and Edna attended my retirement dinner in Edmonton and I am posting a photo of this as well. I always enjoyed my meetings with Jack. He will be missed.
Sincere Regards,
Don and Pat McDermid
I like to hand write letters and post them in the mail. So did Jack although in recent years he typed them but still sent them by surface mail. I will not lump him into my category, however, of Zen dinosaurs as he was more progressive than many people half his age. Still, as one of my few remaining pen pals, I will miss his correspondence.
I have a memory of Jack and Edna that sealed the deal in my affections for them both. They were staying in Bob and Colleen's condo in Victoria so I seized the opportunity to get them out to play. We did a road trip to Galiano Island.
Before this adventure, I liked the Kennys simply as the pleasant parents of my law school classmate and good buddy, Colleen. When my own parents died, they seemed willing, not that I gave them much choice, to be distant (I lived elsewhere) surrogates and thus began the correspondence.
Being with them on the Galiano adventure was like a day of hooky with school mates. Both Jack and Edna were game for every path through the woods, every questionable eating establishment. At one point we could be found laying on logs on my "secret" beach pointing out cloud shapes, watching the boats sail by. They told me that day they didn't mind having surrogacy foisted upon them. I will miss Jack.
