Rita was such a dear and kind lady. As a volunteer at MTCC, I would porter Rita to and from entertainment or events.She was such a bright spot in my day when I could chat and visit with her. After the entertainment, Rita always wanted to beat the rush to the elevator, get to her room so that she could walk back to the cafe and have her tea. Her chuckle will remain in my memory forever.

My heartfelt condolences to you and yours Michael. Your mom would speak so proudly of you when she was anticipating a visit or after you had been.

I had the privilege of driving Rita to several appointments. She always wanted to go for a coffee afterwards to have a treat and to talk. She would call me over when she was having a coffee at McKenzie and ask how my day was going. I will miss her smile!

Rita was a very special lady , loved her dearly we had a lot of fun going on outtings which she loved . She was feisty and lovable , she will always be in our hearts we love you our Rita , may you rest in peace . you are our Guardian Angel. Happy Easter

I hold only fond memories; always on long calls with my mother, our annual box of goodies at Christmas, I think she enjoyed buying a couple of girls' gifts for Alison and I. I was so happy to see her again on my 2 trips out west, and introducing her to my son Matt. She was lovely. It was particularly nice to see her most recently in a residence that she enjoyed; the workers were all very kind and even affectionate with her. She enjoyed the visits with dogs that they have also. May she be surrounded by those she loved, too many of whom had passed before her as she kept going until nearly 92 years. I am impressed and hope to follow in her footsteps. Rest In Peace and surrounded by Love. Marilyn xo
