Condolences
I'm one of Greg's really old friends from Hanover, Ontario where he attended high school. When I was in Grade 12 in 1970, I think, I helped found the student newspaper, Probe, to which Greg was a big supporter and constant contributor. His work was always serious and well-thought out. I didn't know what became of Greg until reading this. It certainly sounds like he had a life well lived and I'm glad he realized his dream of being a journalist. I spent my working career as a community journalist.
The best to his family and friends.
Rest well, Greg, you have earned it.
So many memories...to my great fellow Class of '75. Rest forever in peace Greg. See you soon. Dave Baker.
I was one of the lucky ones to be hired by Greg when he was News Director at CKRM, Regina. Fortunate would probably be a better term, since Greg was a wonderful, incredible man to work for and with. As a news director, he was approachable, and always had time to hear your concerns and answer questions. He could also be tough when he needed to be, but he was also fair. I cherished my time working with him. I was also fortunate that both he and Sandy remained Facebook friends after he left 'RM To Sandy and Greg's family, you have mine, and Susan's, deepest condolences. Rest peacefully Greg.

Greg was a huge part of my teenage years growing up in the 80’a in Calgary. I will always remember his voice from AM106 announcing the 106 second update. “This is Greg Bohnert with the 106 second update” then he’d tell the latest news, quickly in that 106 seconds. I was fortunate enough to get to know him better and personally later on in my adult years; he married my mom’s best friend, my Aunt Sandy. Greg was an amazing man and a perfect match for my Aunt. Condolences to you all.
