Condolences
So very sorry to hear of Laurie's passing...I too remember her most beautiful smile and laughter during our years together in Jr. & Sr. High in Edmonton. Such a lovely girl who obviously grew into an incredible woman who faced many joys and challenges with her strength of character and grace. She inspired many and certainly won't be forgotten. To her family and friends, I extend my heartfelt sympathy and hope all your treasured memories together give you comfort.

My deepest condolences to the Family on the loss of Laurie.
I used to work with Laurie at the Alberta Children's hospital in Pharmacy. She was a force to be reckoned with ...I remember her telling us her adventures heli skiing. I was always amazed by her love of fitness.
We had many fun memorable times.
I remember when we worked evenings together and the lights went out and we were in the store room (no generators in the hospital at the time).I luckily had a bic lighter in my pocket ...so we were trying to navigate our way out with that little bit of light....we always had lots of laughs over that.
When Laurie was diagnosed with MS...it was a shock for many of us who worked with her. I lost touch with her when she went to PLC.
Rest in peace dear Laurie & pray the family left behind have many sweet memories to hold onto in this time of grief.
God bless Sharon Winniandy
I’ve known Laurie since elementary school and had many great memories growing up from our ski days in Jasper, to get togethers in CALGARY. Laurie’s intelligence, positive outlook and tremendous sense of humour is a real tribute to who she was, even through her challenging conditions in later times. My condolences to Laurie’s loving family, Gloria (Tony) Laurie’s most amazing caregivers and unwavering friend and all other friendships she had. Take Care Allan Zivot

I want to offer my sincere condolences to all of Laurie's family and friends and hope that your memories will help to get you through this very difficult time. I went to Ross Shep with Laurie and am so happy to have called her a friend. I will always remember Laurie's huge smile as in this attached photograph of a few of our Phys Ed classmates learning to Cross-country ski....what a fun memory this is. RIP Laurie.

Laurie always seemed calm and wise; cheerfully turned toward the deep things life had to offer, both joys and hurts. Life was better with Laurie in it, and it's better for her having been. Thank you Laurie; dance now - may you enjoy the ultimate graduation. May there be comfort for all who loved her.
My dear friend, Laurie, of whom I have so many wonderful memories! Playing together as children, going through teenage angst together and maintaining a close friendship through adulthood. I respected and admired Laurie who always was positive and upbeat despite her medical issues. I will miss her terribly and I will never forget her.
I met Laurie at Shep. She was so vibrant, a smile that lit up any space she was in and such a beautiful person. I feel honoured that our paths crossed and so admired that she never let her illness change who she was and always will be. My sincere condolences to her family and many friends whose lives she touched and I know our days were made better by knowing her. Darcey-Lynn
