Obituary of Janis Gurtrude LEE

December 23, 1949 – Montreal, Quebec     

April 24, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Janis,  loving wife of Keith Lee, Mother of Jeff Lee, Sean Lee (Chelsea Yon) and Grandmother of Trent Lee and Autumn Lee, passed away, at home in Calgary, on Friday, April 24,2020 at the age of 70 years.

She leaves behind her sister Linda (Dave Reindeau) of Oakville, ON, and her Brother Gerry of Vancouver, BC. She will also be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews in Oakville and Ottawa, ON, and many cousins in Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. She was predeceased by her parents, Gerry and Aida Mckenna of Montreal, QC; her brother Peter McKenna of Montreal, QC, and her son Jeff of Calgary, AB.

Janis worked for over twenty-eight years at the Law firm of Blakes &Co. in Calgary where she made many many friends over the years. She was a dedicated employee and retired five years ago at the age of sixty-five. She was a loving and caring person who gave back to the community through her volunteer efforts. Janis loved her family deeply and very much enjoyed time that she spent with her large group of friends. She deeply loved spending a part of each summer with her sister and her sister's family in Oakville and Ottawa.

At her request, Janis will be cremated and a memorial will be planned for a future date. Janis will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank the palliative health team led by Helen Davies and all the staff at TBCC for the excellent care especially Dr.Cynthia Card.
