Douglas Cade, beloved husband of Brenda Newland, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at the age of 78 years.

 

Doug was born in Eriksdale, MB on June 18, 1941. He moved to Calgary, AB in 1977. Doug worked for General Motors for over fifty years. He was a volunteer at Rundle Community Center for many years as a Pub Director and President. He also catered many functions at the hall. Doug’s favourite hobbies included wood working and cooking. He enjoyed creating new and secret recipes. Doug’s most memorable vacations included road trips, Hawaii, and Mexico. He will be remembered for his gentleness, kindness to others, and great love of family.

 

Besides his loving wife Brenda, Doug is survived by his son Evan and daughter Lori (Dwaine), his furbaby son Snoopy, his granddaughters, Amber (Chris) and Cassie; grandson Daley (Jese), great-grandchildren, Dominic and Aurora. Doug was predeceased by his father Herbert (Hank) Cade and his mother Runa Gudmundson.
