Condolences
Celebrating Bernadette's 95th birthday last year at the farm will always be a treasured memory for Jill and I. The friendship, joy and love extended to us that day and throughout our visit to Calgary embodies Bernadette's beautiful soul and your welcome.
Dear Hagel Cousins.
Kevin and I send our condolences for your loss. Your Mom was such a cheerful sprite. I love the green hat photo. She reminded me so much of Granny, her Mom. I watched the funeral service today in her memory. The tributes brought smiles and warm memories along with some tears.
I feel very privileged to have been able to virtually share in your ceremony at the graveside. You are such a warm and loving family. Your parents are very proud I am sure of the legacy they have left behind in all of you and your big beautiful family.
Pat, I really enjoyed the recording you played of her song Hallelujah I’m a Bum. I remember my Granny MacCallum singing that song during some of her Sunday night dinner performances. And if Dad did not chime in then, I remember him singing it himself many times. Loved hearing her voice and enjoying those memories too.
Love
cousin Pat and hubby Kevin Ryan
Sending our condolences and much love to all the family. Our whole family spent fun times at Aunt Bernie & Uncle Jakes farm while we were kids. Sincerely, the Rose & Pat Knievel Family.
St. Paul's Pastoral Care Team from Airdrie has had the honor of knowing Bernadette during all the years that she has resided at Bethany Care Center in Airdrie. Bernadette set a wonderful example for all of us by showing her strong desire to attend weekly Mass at Bethany for as long as she was able along with her special devotion to the Blessed Eucharist.
We all soon realized how much Bernadette enjoyed singing. Gerri, recalled that one of the best things about Bernadette was her love of singing. Denise commented that she was sure that Bernadette must be singing in heaven.
Bernadette had a great sense of humor. Swade treasured some very funny memories of her.
Valerie said the following: She was a riot with her jokes and first to lead off with the Irish songs. She was a personal favorite of mine and we shared many laughs together. At Bethany, Bernadette will be sadly missed by us all and the world was a better place because of her. Fly with the angels my dear friend. All of us including Fran, Helen, Nancy, Marilyn, Grace, Elizabeth, Doug, Lorna, Maria, Bernice, Grace, and Celia pray that her soul is with God and that we will all meet her in eternity.
