Sister Marie.( Marcella's sister)
My condolences to the entire family of Jim's, I have many fond memories of Jim as I lived with Marc and Jim when I moved to Calgary in the late 60's. I lived with them in their first house and their present home. I like to think that Jim built that bedroom in the basement for me. He always treated me wonderfully. The was a jokester, he made me interested in the stock market, he aways won at cards. He definitely has a place in my heart. RIP Jim love Marie and Jim Canfield
Our deepest sympathy to Marcella and family. I remember a very kind and thoughtful instructor, teaching us to dance traditional Polish dances. Joan (Zakowicz) and Andrzej Nodzynski
Our sincerest condolences to Marcell and her family in the sad passing of Jim.
He and his family always extended great hospitality to all comers & was willing to help everyone.
He loved his sports & card games & I can always remember playng various sports with him, including
cricket. On his first trip to Australia while in his late twenties he often took my sister Krystyna, brother
John & myself to a beach during the summer months in Western Australia & I marvelled at the distance that
he could swim under water. On his later trips to WA we played card games, table tennis, snooker, occasionally
golf & drank Canadian Rum & coke together. If we had more people like Jim in the world it would be a much
better place.
He will be sadly missed by everyone that knew him.
RIP

Our most sincere condolences to all the family, especially Marcella. I have many great memories of Uncle Jim in Canada and when he visited Australia. Playing golf, table tennis, pool, darts and of course cards. So sad to see him go but we will never forget you Uncle Jim.

My sincere condolenses to Marcella and the whole family.
My fond and happy memories of Uncle Jim
My first trip to Canada was getting into and playing golf on a regular basis with Uncle Jim and Aunt Marcella ☺️.Those beautiful early morning walks over the fairways. Looking out to Calgay CBD. I remember the hole where I had to drive acrosss the valley at Shaganappi, didn't succeed . And following holes there I was trying to hit the cover off the ball and Uncle Jim with his slight hesitation/half swing out drove me every time straight down the middle as I was in the bush with my nice slice.
Always remember he's witty and dry sense of humour.
He's photographic memory when we played cards. How did he remember which hearts went down ???
And his smoked sausage he made it was the BEST ever and it showed because once it was ready it was gone, yum.
He will surely be missed and the hospitality Uncle Jim and Aunt Marcella gave to us all that visited Canada.
Thank you, thank you
R.I.P.

Marcella, Cathy and I send our deepest sympathies to you and your family. I have so many fond memories with Jim when we were younger men on the soccer field, later on the golf course and then at the ping-pong and pool tables. In soccer, he was the type of defenseman that if he ever let the ball through, the man would bounce off him. He was always kind, never putting his opponents down, instead, he praised them. I was with him when he got his seventh hole in one. He did not gloat, he just gave a slight smile and said, “That’s my seventh”. In pool or pong-pong, when I would sometimes get lucky and beat him, he would say something like, “You gave me another pool lesson”. I will really miss his humbleness and kindness.
