Condolences
I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the family of Peter Krueger. I was one of the first Faculty members hired during Peter's tenure as Head of the Department of Chemistry. My memories of Peter go well beyond our academic connection, to the year 1966 when my wife and I first arrived in Calgary from England, during a bitterly cold January. This arrival was followed by several bouts of home sickness but we were warmly welcomed and cared for by Peter and his late wife Dorothy to whom we owe a great deal. Peter you will be sorely missed by both me (Reg) and my wife (Anne).
I echo the positive comments made by others about Peter. He was also very fair-minded, ready to consider all aspects of a situation and to render his considered opinion. It was a pleasure to work with him and to know him. I am very sorry for his loss.

I am very saddened to read of Peter's passing. He was an exemplary leader, consistent and very fair, always calm and collected. He set a direction for the University in a time of rapid expansion that set the University in good stead for many years. He was open to new ideas, he listened, he reasoned: the University blossomed. This is indeed a sad day.
My sincere condolences on Peter's passing. He was VP Academic during the ten years that I was Head of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Calgary. We had many interactions on academic matters, including putting new undergraduate programs in place. Peter was a lovely person to work with, always congenial and very helpful, hard working and especially good at his job. It was a pleasure and a privilege to know and work with him. I heard nothing but praise for him all the years that he was there.
