Condolences
Vaneeta, I as well as my wife Vicky are saddened to hear of Dan's passing. I had the good fortune to work with Dan over a period of time through the seventies, I was working with Dan the night shift he retired, that night he had supper with the crew and District Chief. After supper he and the DC went to a number of stations where Dan had worked from. When Dan got back to #21 Silver Springs we said our goodbyes, Dan got into his big boat of a car, smiled at the crew and said " I always wanted to do this" , Dan put his car in drive and put the petal to the metal and squealed his tires out of the station leaving tire marks on the concrete floor which stayed there a good number of years LOL. Vicky on occasions would send butter horns, cinnamon buns and fresh baked bread and I must admit Dan really enjoyed the treats. My parents Ted and Jean Sinclair, you might remember would sit with you and Dan at 264 for an evening of dancing. I will miss Dan but I have a lot of good memories of Captain Dan, so many stories. "{May He Rest in Peace". Ric and Vic Sinclair
Vaneeta and Dan’s Family,
I and saddened to hear of Mr Dan’s passing. We met Mr Dan as our children fondly called him when he was our back alley neighbor in Southwood. He always had a smile, something pleasant to say and a new car!
We lost track when we moved in 1999 but Mr Dan was and will always be fondly remembered. May he Rest In Peace.
Sincere condolences
