Condolences
My father, Bill Kachuk from Shaka Hairy Hill, was a first cousin to Margaret. He was born in 1922 to Mary & Mike Kachuk . His mother, Mary, was a sister to Margaret's father, Gregory. I remember Margaret at Hairy Hill church as a lovely happy lady. Memory Eternal
Margaret was a fierce, fearless, independent and vibrant lady. Always interested in everybody, and always interesting, Margaret touched my life as she did so many others - with fun, kindness, and her unique warmth. The world is a little greyer now she has gone. Huge hugs and deep sympathies to Merv, Gail, and the family for the loss of such a bright spirit. My heart goes out to you and I hope that it won't be too long before Purple Nanny's memories bring you warm smiles without the tears. You will never lose her; she lives on in your souls and hearts, and in all our thoughts. God Bless you, Margaret.
I knew Margaret from line dancing. It was my privilege to have known her. She was admiring a skirt that I was wearing. I told her that it came from Mexico and promised to buy her one the next time I was there. Although it drowned her she was so happy to have it and managed to alter it so that she could wear it dancing. She was an amazing, funny and delightful lady. She will be very much missed.
Marg added an extra sparkle to everything she did whether it was a round of golf, line dancing or a dress up theme for our year end golf banquet . So enjoyed many years of golfing with Marg at Mapleridge .R.I.P.Margaret Langston you were a great influence for the rest of us .Noreen Trombley
Just to have met this special lady was like opening your world to a whole new adventure. Marge's joy for life and people kept her going for so long. Yet the day comes when that joy is interrupted, it ceases to exist and even though the years were many, we feel her life was still too short. God feels that way too. He knows we want to keep our loved ones with us forever. That is why He promises to keep them in his memory until the day when Jesus calls them to a resurrection of life. John 5:28,29; Psalm 37:11,29. May all who were a part of this lovely lady's life find comfort in memories and God's promises.
Auntie Marg was a tour-de-force of a woman. Looking forward to a visit with her was always a joy - she could burst out in song, ask about the most poignant topics, share her opinions, and always offer tea & treats to extend the visit, making the welcome last as long as possible. I have many memories of Auntie Marg, going a long way back, because each of them are vivid - from driving with her in her car (fearless pilot) to her visit to the Yukon with my mom in 2006 (an oh, there’s a story to tell from that), to more recent recollections of visiting her at the Manor in Okotoks. She always found the way to pull people in with her spirit, her wit & her very personal way of capturing the relationship. She was a tremendously special person. The words in the obituary capture her vivacious nature so well. She was undaunted by life and lived so fully. I will cherish my thoughts & memories of her. Wishing all of you, the same.
