Gary Heer of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at the age of 69 years.

Gary was born in Trochu, Alberta on January 4, 1951.  He was raised on a farm at Huxley and graduated from TroVal High School.  Growing up Gary was involved in the 4H Beef Club and enjoyed time spent fishing with his Uncles.  Soon after high school he began his life long career in the trucking industry.  He loved driving and hauled all over Canada and the USA.  He operated a successful trucking business out of Calgary and Las Vegas.  Gary really enjoyed his time in Las Vegas and was always happy to have friends and family come visit.  He loved Nascar and was thrilled to be able to go for a ride at Daytona Beach.

Gary was never seen too far without his dog, Trixie.  She was his faithful companion wherever he went.

Gary was a loving son to his parents and a kind and generous friend to all who knew him.  He had a great sense of humour and loved to tease.  He will be truly missed by many.

Gary is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Allan and Jolene Heer of Strathmore AB; his niece Jaclyn Russell and nephew Jonathan Heer; companion Aline; and numerous cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Louise and Edwin Heer.
