Condolences
I had worked for Larry respected for his fortitude and smart business sense. He was the best Boss\friend I ever had. His compassion was paramount and as he allowed me to work part time while going through school I can’t even put a dollar figure on his support, priceless. I have a great admiration and respect for Larry as his passing has affected me deeply. Larry will truly be missed, Great memories, thanks for being a shining light that shined so bright.

Every day since Larry's sudden passing, my family sees his beautiful smiling face as he looks out at us from our fridge from the lovingly, written obituary. We can almost hear his signature laughter! We are reminded of what a very special guy he was and marvel at how many hearts and lives he touched with his generous and kind spirit. He had an easy way of making connections and conversation, genuinely interested and deeply engaged in learning and sharing. We spent many a time chatting over the back fence, about all myriad of topics - his family always at the top of the list, his passion for canoes and paddling and his perpetual travels between Cochrane and the USA. His voyageur canoe that sat on Riverview Drive from time to time and HBC Trading Post Treasure Chest were shared with the local French school many years ago. Back in the day - his canoe, with our children and their school mates were showcased in the Labour Day Parade. They learned so much about the history of our fur trade and the great voyageurs. He was a great story teller and always held a captive audience. We are sure you are holding an audience in heaven. Their gain is most certainly our loss. Rest peacefully Larry and may your family find solace in the many memories of time spent with you. The Burdett Family.

Enjoyed working alongside Larry at Vanir Building Sales during the late sixties/early seventies. We also met at many social events outside business hours, which also included camp sites and house parties at the Silvestri acreage. Those really were the “good ole days” for us! Larry’s sense of humour and good nature made him a fun person to be with.
Our sincere condolences to his family......from ours, Jerry and Linda Resch
