Erle , what a kind ,caring , honest loveable man . He used to come into the Cochrane Cafe when I worked there and he was a fantastic man. He always listened had and gave great advice and told you honestly his opinions! Oh how I admired him. He and Mary were a great joy to have in the Cafe I always enjoyed their company so much .

You will be missed dearly my friend ( and I am honoured to have been able to call him that ) .

Condolences to the Family

We were saddened to hear of the passing of cousin Erle. I was just a little boy when Erle left Blackville and I have not connected with him over the years but I grew up with Keith, Hal, Lorna and Phyllis. As we all are experiencing difficult times, it is even harder on families when they loose loved ones. My family is sending our thought and sympathies to all of you.

Mary - Jacqueline and me are so shocked and sadden by Erle's passing. We had so much fun working with him at Spring Hill and socializing with him. We very much enjoyed his guitar playing and listening to him sing. Our sincere condolences to you and your family.

My sincere condolences to Mary and the family in the sudden loss of Erle. He was a fantastic musician whether it be on the fiddle, mandolin or guitar and had a beautiful voice for singing. Played several gigs with him and for a few years he was the backup fiddle player for the annual Yodelfest, a venue held in Airdrie, AB. We had so much fun kibitzing back and forth on stage which brought so much enjoyment to our audiences. He will be deeply missed by many for his love of music. God comfort and be with the family at this trying time.

I'm so sorry to hear of Erle's passing. I played a number of gigs with Erle and always had fun with his great sense of humor and what a great talent!

Please accept my condolences to you all. I worked with Erle for many years at Alcan and listened to moonshine many times at various venues. There was no mistaking his passion for his family and for music. I also renewed our friendship while visiting my daughter in Cochrane. It was a wonderful surprise when we met again at the wine store. All the best to you all at these difficult times.
