Obituary of Leslie Diane MORGAN

Leslie Morgan passed away in Calgary, Alberta on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, just four days shy of her 53rd birthday. 

Leslie is survived by her only daughter Janelle Bly, and son-in-law James Warren, three grandchildren, Lillie Marjorie Locking, James Bobby Skip Warren, and Bella Lynn Warren of Calgary; father Robert “Skip” Morgan of Calgary, brother Kevin Reid Morgan, and nephew Sam Morgan of Lethbridge, and her auntie Shirley O’Connor of Calgary. Leslie was predeceased by her mother Marjorie Joyce Morgan (Baptie), grandparents, Reynolds and Lillian Baptie, and Phyllis Morgan and Oscar Bates of Calgary. 

Leslie resided in Calgary all her life. She was a gifted athlete and a graduate of Western Canada High School where she played basketball and won with her team the Jr. City Championship, she also swam for the Killarney swim club. She went on to postsecondary where she played basketball at Mount Royal College for two years where they won the ACAC championships and came second in the Canadian College Championships. Leslie then attended The University of Calgary for a year before moving onto SAIT, where she played for two years for the Trojans and graduated as a dietary technician. She went on to work at Forest Grove Nursing Home and the Foothills Hospital.

The family would like to thank the emergency department at the Rockyview General Hospital for their outstanding efforts and kindness. As well as Dr. David McMullen, Dr. Bruce Wheeler, Dr. Lee Bogle, and to the Calgary Eating Disorder Clinic, for there dedicated service to Leslie over the many years.
