Condolences
Wes was an incredible friend. As teenagers and into our early 20's we experienced so many things together in our quest to become adults. Every weekend was an adventure. And I do recall our trip to Vancouver to become Merchant Mariners which was to no avail. Instead we secured a studio apartment on Denman St. where we could spend our mornings playing Pitch 'n' Putt in Stanley Park and the afternoons swimming in English Bay and then the evenings were spent sampling our favourite beverages.
Wes was a good friend and I will never forget our times together.

We were very sad to hear about Wes. He's been a wonderful friend to our whole family for decades. A great friend to my dad Silvio, they shared many laughs and golf games together. My dad will really miss lunches together. An amazing accountant who assisted our company for many years. Rest easy Wes, we will never forget you free spirit and love of animals.

Weston was the big brother I never had. I looked up to him from the time we rode a giant old white horse "Ned" across the prairies from Ethan Hagey's farm to our families place, some 8 miles somewhere around 1954. Of course he was the driver!
I enjoyed all of the time spent with my cousin, be it skiing or golfing and he was always willing to help me out in complicated business situations. We did not always agree but most often had fun. The quality of a man can be derived by the wonderful friends and family that he leaves behind. Wes has that in hearts.May you all find some solace in the time he shared with you.
Love to Aunt Ruth and all of the Lee and Annand families...

Oh Wes - so many memories! I guess that's what happens when you know a person 55+ years! You and Jack were best buddies from before the time Jack and I were married. I remember you and Jack were going to run away to join the Merchant Marines. You left for Vancouver, spent a drunken week there and then found out that Canada doesn't have Merchant Marines.
You were best man at our wedding . I also remember how you came over on our wedding night so we could play 3-handed bridge. You became Jaynie's godfather. I remember your Mom remarking upon the birth of Jaynie - "7lb 7oz - that's awfully big for a premature baby"! We had lots of laughs over that.
A lot of memories involve food. I remember you and I sneaking behind our tent trailer to eat Hawkin's Cheezies. We didn't want to share. You also loved chocolate as much as I did. You demanded that I make your favorite chicken wings every Christmas Eve when we all got together.
I remember you keeping the can from Jack's last beer.
I'm sure that Jack would have been greatly honored to have your dog named after him. I know I was certainly pleased and honored when you named your special fur girl - Kathy.
Well, I guess you're playing a round of golf with your buddies Jack and Al and leaving all of us missing you rascals.
