Condolences
Like Davina, I worked with Maureen at Grays Tax Office from 1974 until I left in 1982. I lost touch when she moved to Canada but always remembered her with great fondness and true thanks for having known her. I was very young and at the start of my career and got thrown in at the deep end a lot. Maureen was always there to help, guide and be the voice of humorous wisdom when things got overwhelming for me. I know how devoted she was to Sandy (who I remember from Barclays bank!) and how much she looked forward to her new life in Canada. I am so pleased it worked out so well for her. If anyone deserved a happy, peaceful and grace filled life, Maureen did. My condolences to all the family.
Every blessing

I first met Maureen in 1975 when I began working at the local Tax Office in Grays. We continued our friendship even after I left to have my first child. When I told one of my children about her passing she said I remember her she always brought us chocolate Father Christmases. Despite her emigrating we continued to keep in touch her neat hand and my scrawl. Maureen gave me much advice over the years and her eldest grandchild shares my birthday. Her picture is exactly as we remember her just a hair colour change. As xmas it was a short note and she said she was unwell and no card came in April and as her birthday approached I wondered.
So Bob and I send our condolences and sympathy for the lost of a lady who brightened our lives even from afar. I so enjoyed those catch up letters.
Love Davina, Bob and girls
Dear Sandy & Family of Maureen, We are both so sorry to hear of the passing of Maureen. She was a wonderful vibrant person always filled with joy and that beautiful smile! In past years Maureen and Thomas would stop by for a visit on her way to the dog park. One stormy day, Thomas was scared by the lighting and came to our front door step for cover. Then came beautiful Holly. We have missed Maureen so much on our walks as we had such great visits and she always asked how our family was doing. Our thoughts are with all of you at this time of great loss and Thank You Sandy for letting us know. Sincerely, Rosemary & Ken, Jessica, Steve, Dan, Sophie & Jersey
Maureen was such a joy to be around, always looked on the bright side and was such a sweet, loving person. She will be so much missed by her card playing friends, every game will be a reminder of what she added to our lives.
Condolences to her family,

Love and prayers to the Wicks family. We knew Maureen as the lovely lady who walked her dogs past our home. Always wonderful to talk to , shared her love of her family with us and of course her great love for her dogs. She will be missed by all who knew her. Even as a casually acquaintance I always loved to see her coming my way.
Thinking of you all, Sandy, Ryan and Shelley.
