Obituary of Audrey May COOK

December 15, 1931 – Regina, Saskatchewan

July 14, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Audrey Cook of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at the age of 88 years.

Audrey was a full-time homemaker before her children were school age. A Canadian Air Force family, life took them to Marville, France in 1965, Lahr, Germany in 1967, returning to Ottawa, Canada. They settled in Calgary, AB in 1971 where she became a secretary, working for the Department of Public Works for several years.

In retirement, Audrey and Ken loved to travel, spending winters in Arizona and summers in Sundre, AB. She loved to crochet and play golf. She moved into long term care in July 2018 where she enjoyed meeting new friends. 

Audrey was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Raymond Cook in 2006. She is survived by her children, Gerald (Sue), Kim, Ronald (Mary), and Dan (Paulette); six grandchildren, Lindsay (Rachel), Shaun (Bonnie), Kari (Mark), Stephanie, Natalie (Darrel) and Katelyn (Melissa); eight great-grandchildren, Cooper, Dorrie, Jedi, Patrick, Alice, Rylan, Greyson and Chase.  Audrey also leaves behind special friends including Linda and Ken Audette who provided much love and support to Audrey and her son Ron which helped her to live independently for several years.
