Audrey knew how much Ron and I and our family cherished her. I first met Audrey 40 years ago. There are lots of good memories across those years.
Part of life's adventures took her to places she would never have guessed she would see but she enjoyed the times of travelling especially her trip to Dodge City, Kansas as well as Wichita. Being Grandma at that time meant also joining in for a trip to see the KC Royals play ball. A beautiful sunny day for a ball game, tickled pink wearing Shaun's army cap, enjoying a cool one and cheering on the team. Audrey was a good sport. She loved visiting Bonnie's Grandpa Bob's farm and meeting everyone there.
She would have loved to have visited Lindsay and family in AUS as well - just such a huge trip to make. She did love seeing all those photos and FB posts over the years of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Part of sharing her good cooking involved sharing her recipes with us. Great granddaughter Dorrie has mastered the legendary "Audrey's Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies". I'm still trying to master her potato salad!
We miss Audrey greatly and we give thanks for the time we had together to learn from and love one another. She is in our hearts always.
With love,
Mary
