Condolences
Loved Barry and will always remember what a great man he was. We were friends and it was Barry who introduced me to the King Louie hotel bar and horse races LOL. RIP my friend and I will see you again. Rod
Dear Cheri, Ritchie and Family. Lorrie and I were saddened greatly to hear of your Dad’s passing. Capt. Barry is fondly remembered as one of a kind. Great memories like lunches at the St. Louis, back yard bonfires, dirt biking in the foothills, tempting our dogs with wieners, horse racing and spontaneous visits to Halifax all come to mind. He will be missed but our memories will last forever.

Oh, that is so disappointing - my condolences to Barry's family. He was a cheerful person and very pleasant to fly with. He was frequently on the same crews I flew to HKG. He had a number of great stories and they were always interesting. Barry knew my husband, Dennis Nagy, from earlier careers. I am sorry to see so many fine people leaving us.
Respectfully, Sandra-Faye Nagy
My condolences to Barry's family ....we will so miss this wonderful man. I had the pleasure of his friendship during our flying careers and in retirement. He was always so upbeat and positive ....life was a party when you were with Barry!
Always great to fly with, will miss our lunches at the Legion buddy.
I am so sorry to hear of Barry's passing. Barry was one of the great guys from the Trans Air days.
We spent many days in Churchill Mb. While there we enjoyed a few bubblies at the Legion "on occasion" !
I remember playing crib with Barry and Joe Kowal at The Polar Hotel, which was Joe's hotel were we stayed in Churchill. Never could win a game with either of them.

I was a pilot with Barry at Transair in Winnipeg and later Canadian . I have known Barry since 1972. We even had a couple of race horses together at the Vancouver's Hastings Park track. I lost touch with Barry about 18 years ago. He always had a smile on his face, a joke about something to tell and could make some fun out of literally anything. A cold beer was never out of the question and we had some fun times. My condolences to his family. A sad day.

He was truly a gentleman who was always there to help others. He will be missed however we are blessed to have the many memories of the fellowship he shared with our Caravan family and others.

My sincere condolences to Cheri and Ritchi on the passing of your Dad. Barry was one of the senior Master Batters who took me under his wing in my Stampede Caravan days. He taught me well how to make the perfect pancake batter which is not as easy as it seems (teaching me and making the perfect batter). He was always very kind to me and made me feel like one of the team. I will always think very fondly of him.
So sorry to hear about your Dads passing. My late husband taught Barry how to fly at the Regina Flying Club in the 60's.

So sorry to hear of Barry's passing. From Transair days through to retirement Barry always treated myself and colleagues in Flight Dispatch with professionalism, kindness, and humour. Spent quite a few fam flights sitting up front with him, and when on vacation he always welcomed myself and the family up there for a visit. Great fellow to deal with both professionaly and sharing a few beers. Fond memories of many laughs over the years. Cheers Barry. Sincere condolences to the family.

I will never forget the jokes and laughter. Especially when Barry laughed at his own jokes, it made them even funnier! My first layover was in Regina and Barry made sure the whole crew got together that evening for a debrief and suitable beverages. You were one of a kind Barry and we will all miss you.
I firstI met Barry through Caravan. He was always there to help out, beat the best batter and keep the intricacies of breakfast running smoothly. Sympathy and best wishes to the family as you maintain memories of Dad and Grandpa. May your memories sustain you at this time.

We will really miss you on Caravan Barry!
It will be hard not to remember you, every time we beat a pail of batter. Especially remember our RV trip down to Phoenix.

It is very sad to hear of Barry's passing. We flew many trips together in Northern Manitoba and North of Churchill on the YS-11 before going to separate bases and different aircraft. I always enjoyed working with Barry and comparing notes on our families. He and I shared a birthdate, which we often acknowledged - for no particular purpose except that we both recognised both the parallels and the differences in our lives.
He was a fine pilot, a good companion, and a lot of fun.
With respect and sincere condolences to his family,
Capt. Rick Lovelace (ret)

I knew Barry for many years and we tipped many a drink and shared lots f laughs...and of course tee'd it up on the golf course often....i considered him a good friend, although, we later parted, when he was in Calgary and i in Richmond...he was one of the people that i held dear, as part of my airline career...he was a true gentleman, a good friend, and a very professional and excellent pilot....i know he had a very good heart....we are loosing way too many of the good ones and way too early....i will miss you, Barry, but we'll tip one on the 19th....Wolf Walter
Thinking of you all and wanted to express my sincere sympathy for your loss
