Dear Maureen and family. We are very sad that Gael has passed away. He was such a great person and fun to be with. Our golf trips in the RV, our Shuswap houseboat vacation, camping, and all the house parties were the best of times. Being in Arizona and spending time with you both, dancing at the Tumbleweed Inn at a jam session were all memorable events. It has been great to call him friend all these many years. Please accept our sympathies at this time. May your memories of Gael give you great comfort.
Sincerely,
Ellen and Patrick Sears
Dear Maureen and family, I’m so sorry to read of Gael’s passing last week. I’m not sure if you remember me, we were at St.Michaels School of Nursing and graduated in 1964 (you) and me in (1965). I remember you dating Gael, late nights and your wedding. We had some fun times. My 55th nursing reunion had to be cancelled this year due to Covid 19. Missed you at your 55th reunion last year, Maureen. II always check with Riet Schaffer if you are coming. Hopefully we can connect at some time.

Sorry to hear og Gael's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you Maureen and your family. Would love to hear from you and share some memories. Hugs Edie Christison
So sorry to hear of the passing of a long-time friend. We were school chums in Hill Spring and after I came back to teach, we played hockey and softball both against and with each other. Heavens, I even helped him with the swathing one year. I was a city boy at heart and that is probably why he never asked me again. Although the years have passed way too quickly, I have often remembered the good times we had together. Sincere thoughts and condolences to the family, especially the Busts here in Cardston.
Thinking of Maureen and family during this very sad time. I am heartbroken. Gael was such a great person and I am so happy I could call him my friend.

Dave and I are sending our deepest sympathy to Maureen and all of the Bonertz families. Gael was a great person and he will be missed by many people.
My name is Jodi Koidjos. I am Larry Bonertz daughter. Gael was my uncle. When I was a child I was very gullible. My uncle Gael didn’t miss the opportunity! He used to tell me all kinds of stories. One day he told me if put my ear on the ground I could hear buffalo. I did of course. I’m sure he enjoyed that. He told me all kinds of stories about First Nations and I especially loved his First Nations arrow head collection and head dress he kept on a styrofoam head in the basement. I will miss his kind heart and the way he hated hugs, even though I always gave him one anyway. I will miss you uncle.
