Condolences
Deepest condolences to all of Garry's family. Although we lost touch over the last few years I will remember Garry as a truly honest, kind and genuine friend. For so many years Garry was a part of the Steinbach clan. He joined in on all the family events and I would especially enjoy it when he and Jen would pick up Tamara and I from the airport, for our Christmas visit, and our first stop would be Peter's Drive-in. Most enjoyable rounds of golf with Garry and my father, Vic. Followed by a pint or two on the 19th hole.
Rest in peace Garry. You will be missed by so many.
Doug Steinbach & Tamara Poirier
My sincere condolences to Garry's family. I am glad I was able to attend the memorial service. It was so nice to hear all the tributes from his family and best friend. Garry will be missed but not forgotten.

So sorry to Garry's family for your loss. I worked with Garry at SAIT and a year ago April started at the U of C and ran into him again there. I was so happy when he told me he was finally retiring in May and going to enjoy his life.
So sorry that that was cut so short. Hugs to all of you.
I was so sadden to hear the shocking new. My heart goes out to the family at this time of grieving. I got to know Gary as a coworker and then as a great friend working at the UofC for 12 years. Working with Gary he shared fawn memories of his Daughter, Son and Sept Daughters families and grandchildren, which he loved them all. He spoke of golfing trips to BC with the boys and trips to Mexico with his traveling partner , and all the good times he had with each of them. For me to have got to known Gary was Privilege and a Honer and how great he was and love by so many . For that I raise a glass of Kokanee Gold . Your Friend Kevin Peterson Rest In Peace
Words cannot describe how much I will miss Garry but I will always remember how fortunate I was to have him in my life. Rest In Peace my forever friend ... Love Jen
Over the years, our family shared several camping adventures with Garry and his family. We had many, many laughs around the campfire and there were dozens of smokies and a few cold beer consumed. Garry had a wonderful sense of humour and, we hold close to our hearts, the sound of his laughter. Garry was a skilled craftsman and was always willing to share his expertise when a project needed done. Our love goes out to his family and friends who’s lives he touched.
