Obituary of Susan LIFFITON

Susan “Sue” Liffiton, beloved wife of Larry Liffiton, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 at the age of 66 years.

Sue was born in Toronto, ON on May 8, 1954. She graduated from Lawrence Park Collegiate and received her Bachelor of Arts at Trent University. 

She and Larry were married on December 19, 1977 and they moved to Calgary shortly after. 

She was known as the event planner extraordinaire. Sue organized for Telus their annual General Meetings, Spruce Meadows hosting and the Telus Skins Game. She also organized for the City of Calgary meetings of the International Skating Union, the Ralph Klein Memorial ceremony, the visit of the Duke and Duchess, and meetings of the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association. 

She was the co-owner of Invitation to Dance for five years. In her spare time she loved to dance, do yoga, garden, travel and learn about her family genealogy. One of her favourite trips was when she explored Scotland, the land of her Ancestors. 

Sue had many achievements but the one she was the most proud of was the raising of her daughters.

Besides her loving husband, Sue is survived by her two daughters, Erin (Greg) Feltham and Kat Liffiton (Stephen Liddell); and two grandchildren, Maya and Asher Feltham.

Sue was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Jack Wilson and her brother Brian Wilson.
