Obituary of Arthur John Tristram BREEZE

September 8, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Arthur Breeze of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the age of 77 years.

Art was born in St. John’s, NL on June 27, 1943.  He attended Carlton University where he graduated with a degree in Economics.

Art married the love of his life Elizabeth Anne Burland on July 29, 1967. They remained married until her death in 2005.

For over twenty-five years, he was a Certified Registered member of the National Hockey League Player’s Association - representing NHL, AHL and aspiring Junior hockey players. 

Art enjoyed playing and coaching hockey, baseball, football, and golf. In his later years, he enjoyed watching his granddaughters play hockey and ringette. He was passionate about world politics, history, and culture and loved to engage in lively conversations with family and friends.

Art is survived by his son Brent Breeze, daughter-in-law Tammy Breeze; and grandchildren, Avery and Mylah Breeze. Art is also survived by his brother Wayne Breeze and sister Sandy McKenna. 

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. For our family and friends who can’t make it to my dad’s service tomorrow, our friend Lesley has graciously offered to set up a Zoom video conference so you can tune in.
